Hi Morris As you know I'm just a "pantser" - but I found a script - Don't remember, where, which opens up todays date in a tiddler entitled with 'todays date' Look here: http://tomtw.tiddlyspot.com Maybe you could put a [tag[*todayDate*]] in the DefaultTiddlers too??
However I don't know how to do that...
