I've been playing around with the quickedit toolbar these days and it
actually improves my editing experience and saves me some repetitive
typing, but I think the dropdowns could be improved by automatically
expanding them for some functions, instead of having to click two
times.

When I want to select a format, for example, I have to click on the
'format' button, then a drop down appears, with the text "select text
format...", then I have to click again to expand the dropdown list and
select the format I want. Couldn't a click be spared by having the
list of text formats expand when I first click the format button? Same
for the 'font', 'align' and 'custom' buttons. I had a look at the code
but couldn't find any options to change the behaviour of the dropdown
menus.

Also, is it possible to associate shortcut keys with a particular
button?
