Great, thanks!
My issue is with making a permanent archival record of old tasks that
have been accomplished. I don't want them cluttering up my system,
but I do want to save copies of the tasks, and if possible information
about when the task was completed, etc.
When using MonkeyGTD, one can make tickler tiddlers or project
tiddlers with extensive notes. These notes can be separate reference
tiddlers, or they can be built into the basic tiddler. If I want to
export just the titles of old ticklers and "next action" items, then I
can just highlight, copy, and paste.
This gives me brief lists of the following form:
★ 15 June 2009 Attend Frank Smith Talk 15:10 EE bldg 2nd floor 3rd
internat conf rm×
★ 17 June 2009 get Coding project from Doctor Jones×
★ 2 June 2009 talk to Hung Sam and show SA GA NM and streamlined
searches×
I guess the dates that are captured are the dates that I marked these
items as done.
However, if those tasks had detailed note items built into them, the
note information would not be captured.
There is always the manual approach -- open up the old item, check for
notes, copy and paste if necessary -- but it would be nice to generate
a "done action report" which listed the items that were checked off
and all fields of information associated with them.
Thanks for any input.
