It's not exactly clear to me what you're after but
[[Johnny Smith|Smith, Jonathan F.]] gives you a pretty link to Smith,
Jonathan F. with the title Johnny Smith
[[Johnny Smith]] gives the link to Johnny Smith
[[Smith, Jonathan F.]] is the link to Smith, Jonathan F.
[[Smith, Jonathan F.|Johnny Smith]] gives a link to Johnny Smith with
the title Smith, Jonathan F.
