Generally, all plugins (systemConfig tagged) tiddlers should work with the standard version. Some older plugins might fail with the latest standard version. There might be some dependencies on other tiddlers though. Or changes required to the template shadowed tiddlers. For example with the NewHerePlugin I think you have to add the newHere command to the [[ToolbarCommands]] shadowed tiddler.
