*Wouldn't it be good if *... entering #FooBar in tiddler.text resulted in
that Tiddler being tagged FooBar

Sometimes people (often Geeks?) use xml markup in their posts to groups to
add expression

For example

<fascinating> nuts and bolts, and knots and bolts are great ways of joining
> things together </fascinating>
>

However hashtags are now commonly used in other micro content environments
such Twitter posts. As the '#' prefix becomes more commonly used it may
become appropriated by the into the mainstream in a similar way SMS slang [
] has (my mum uses CU in her texts) and the xml markup fade into the history
of Geekery

Furthermore, Delicious has now been integrated with Twitter. There is an
option to post to twitter from delicious using the tag '@twiiter' . As a
consequnce, there is evidence of hashtags being used in Delicious posts: Ben
Goldacre is on celebrated adoptor of this convention

Wikifyling a set of tweets using a tool such as *TiddlyTweets* would be more
beneficial if hashtags were converted to TiddlyWiki Tags

Tweating with archiving and parsing in mind would offer another way to write
to a TiddlyWiki.

This would also be good for FreeWriting and BrainStorming techniques to aid
creative problem solving; it could develop into a new style of writing.

@FooBar could also be wikified in a similar way. I've notice @used in
Delicious posts as well as Twitter.

*Towards a Solution*
A TiddlyWiki solution would requite an addition to the wikifier. This
involves the coding of 'regular expresions' - a difficult part of
Javascript. It might require a lot of work so the benefits learning how and
coding this of this might have to thought through.

Used at the start of a line, '#' is used to generate ordered lists. The
wikifier would have to work out of there was a space before the '#' to
distinguish between parsing and auto-numbering

Any thoughts?

Alex

his (flawed IMHO) analysis of the contemporary art scene.
