I've named the two treetemplates: TopicsTemplate1 and TopicsTemplate2. I had to reinstall TaggedTemplateTweak in your document, to make it work. If you don't want to use TaggedTemplateTweak at all - you could simply omit the treeview display from the tiddlers and only show it in the mainmenu. Just make the TopicsTemplate1 and change the mainmenu accordingly. (Not forgetting to remove the macro from the text in the MasterTopicsButton) Again it will "unclutter" your tiddlers and you will still have the treeview in the mainmenu.
