There are several TiddlyWikis I like to keep a current copy of locally. I have to go to each website and use whatever mechanism the particular TiddlyWiki supports for downloading a copy, e.g. "right click on this link and select 'Save link as...'".
Does anyone know of something to append to the URL that will cause a link to automatically download itself (the file) OR prompt for a filename before downloading? If the website has download.php I know something like "http://twname.html?download=filename.html" might work. But what if the website doesn't have download.php or a similar file? Or maybe a javascript bookmarklet with the URL passed in would work? Ideally, I would like to create several of these kinds of Firefox bookmarks in folders then periodically "Open All in Tabs". The result would be that each bookmark would open a tab and download the file. If there is a way to have the empty tab closed automatically then I would be even happier. Thank you for any suggestions. --~--~---------~--~----~------------~-------~--~----~ You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "TiddlyWiki" group.
