Hi,

A few weeks ago there was a question in this Group on linking to a
file in the TiddlyWiki, and I am not sure if I understood the
discussion. I am specifically speaking about the discussion in the
thread “TW as a Document Management System Options”
http://groups.google.com/group/tiddlywiki/browse_thread/thread/19b78ae213d80157/1bb9ef27cb2ac5c6?lnk=raot

If I understood correctly, the discussion in the above mentioned
thread might help me. I too want to use the TiddlyWiki to manage a
small number of documents. I would like to know if there is a way to
drag a file into the Wiki, and it would automatically create a link to
it (or a Tiddler with a link to it or something of that sort.)

In the above thread Eric Shulman seemed to suggest using
http://www.TiddlyTools.com/#FileDropPlugin I installed in the latest
wiki version (downloaded two days ago). However I am not sure if it
works correctly. When I drag and drop a file, I get new Tiddler having
the same name as the File, and some garbage inside looking like “ÐÏ à
¡± á”. (I have set signed.applets.codebase_principal_support to true
as recommended.)

I would like to know if I can automatically get a link to the file?
Is there a config that is required for this Plugin to work? I tried
accessing http://www.TiddlyTools.com/#FileDropPluginConfig and it
does not seem to be available i.e. I get a generic message on what was
updated in TiddlyTools. I also tried an import and it seems that
FileDropPluginConfig does not seem to be available.

Thanks a lot to the help you guys provide,
O.O.
