Ah, the theme I was using already had "#header {display:inline-
block;}" in there. Switching inline-block to just block seems to work
in all the browsers I can test at the moment (ff 3.0.14 linux, ff/
iceweasel 3.5.3 linux, konqueror, ie 7, ff3.0.14 windows).
