I recieved this advice from you before and do things differently as a
result. I understand the implementation and why this happens. However as
this question re-occurs would it be possible to have an option that allows
the user to replace this default behavior in the link to something they
choose such as;
<<newJournal "YYYY-0MM-0DD"  tag:"diary"
text:{{store.getTiddlerText("newDiaryContent")}} >>

This will have the same effect for existing tiddlers but create new ones
accordingly.
