Hi,

I've been using Tobias's appear
<http://tobibeer.github.io/tw5-plugins/#appear> macro for some time - for
instance to include small retrospective notes attached to a piece of text
which wasn't enough to justify it's own tiddler.

I've started using Mohammad's Refnotes <https://kookma.github.io/Refnotes/>
and the immediate advantage is that the numbering within each tiddler is
automatic whereas for the appear macro, you need to number each state
differently.

I was planning to use Refnotes by default now, but was just wondering if
there were other advantages of the appear macro that I wasn't aware of or
circumstances where it might be more appropriate?

Regards
Jon
