Gloom, furthur to furthur to furthur ... I was, and somewhat remain, skeptical about the value of tagging since its voluntary on first post (i.e. thread creator does not have to add any).
And its not used so well. Its very patchy. Also often its not fully clear on first post exactly the import of the thread. But since others can add tags it might be a way around some of the GG limits. Though that requires understanding of the issue. Also people doing GG only through email can't do it. They would have to visit the web. That said: *post-hoc assignment of tags* looks like it might be a possible useful approach towards a sort of pragmatic *semi-sticky*. ??
