LOL! - Yes, that is the standard way to create a link, so I assumed this is 
what you were complaining about...

FYI, there is also the CamelCase way to automatically create a link and 
there was recent talk from [the other] Jeremy about looking into 
"freelinking", i.e to have the system automatically turn any mention of 
another tiddler into a link.
