Spaces are not a problem so it is likely something else. Perhaps you just 
don't have any tiddlers tagged both "5-star" and "Child Education"?
BTW, I'm assuming you have a </$list> somewhere because that snip doesn't 
close the listwidget. Sorry if I'm stating the obvious.

Depends on what you want. It is more a matter of designs since "sorting" is 
just a function and "for books" is just a use case as well as "for 
furniture parts". I.e you could maybe use a wiki for sorting furniture 
parts but just fill it with book titles instead. Anyway, a good start is 
probably to look at the ToC macros
