Hi David,
 I thought to make a plugin for searchwikis and

   1. add a tab automatically to AdvancedSearch
   2. use the AdvancedSearch feature
   3. add wiki title, url and indexing date to the indexTiddler
   4. a flat interface

I will push an update soon!

Let me know if you have any other points
