Dragging a tag works pretty well, and gets all the supporting plugins as well.
It's only if you want to uninstall that a plugin becomes more valuable. Even then, you can use the advanced search filter to find everything with the tag and then delete. So ... plugins aren't necessarily any more useful than groups of tiddlers.
