Michael, This is not normal behaviour so I assume to modified the message to include this icon?
- Messages such as this are usually what you could call "one shot", - to achieve this the message generated is typically deleted after "firing" and nothing accumulates - Follow the same trail you did to make these changes and I expect you may need to add an action that deletes a tiddler, empties a field or something similar. - I am not sure it would help me to follow this trail on an empty version, because I do not know what you have installed in your own wiki.
