As a workaround you can change the $:/core/ui/ListItemTemplate to
<div class="tc-menu-list-item">
<$link to={{!!title}}><$view field="title"/></$link>
</div>
You should create a github issue ...
It may be fixed, if it doesn't have too many side effects ;)
There are probably more elements, that need to be changed.
