I'm wondering what the text/html type does to begin with? It seems to add 
an iframe around the content and it's this iframe that is styled with a 
border.

Pieter-Michiel, what is your reason for applying type "text/html"? Is this 
an advantage over merely using the default tiddler type with the content 
pasted? Any time I use html (mostly limited to simple divs or tables) I 
never change the type, but maybe that's because I still rely on wikitext in 
the editor... hm...?
