Hi folks,

In my previous/future life as a faculty member at SUNY Polytechnic
Institute, I developed a course called "Designing and Writing Interactive
Texts" for both graduate and undergraduate students.

In my current life as an academic administrator, I'm helping develop a
suite of courses to be offered this summer offering opportunities to
students to study the pandemic from a variety of perspectives
(sociological, anthropological, historical, etc) while creating, designing,
building, making, writing, ... "artifacts" -- writing, arts, presentations,
TiddlyWikis!

To teach an undergraduate class requires a Master's degree. To teach a
graduate class, a PhD, a terminal Master's degree (MFA), or ABD in a PhD
program is required.

100% online, of course. Mixture of sync or async possible; depending on
faculty and student preferences.

The course could be modeled on my course, "Designing and Writing
Interactive Texts' (http://designwritestudio.com,) which uses Tiddlywiki as
a tool. Or build an entirely new course or build upon the open source
teaching material available.

Salary is our typical adjunct faculty salary. Summer is based on # of
students, and faculty can set minimum (4) and maximum (??) that they would
be willing to teach. For example, 16 undergraduate students @ 3 credits =
~$3200, courses run either 6 or 8 weeks.

Courses, or similar courses that will be offered this summer, with a focus
on creating texts (wikis) that interpret, collect, analyze, annotate,
process, or otherwise manipulate & design, readings or discovered texts
reflecting a particular perspective viewpoint on the COVID-19 global
pandemic.

writing, and the notion of interactivity. Techniques for writing digital
texts with navigational and semantic elements are presented and practiced.
Students design and write wikis featuring words, images, video and audio,
and use a variant of Markdown to structure elements and render documents
and texts consistent with contemporary standards of design and presentation.
