It might be helpful to know what version of TW, version of browser, version of operating system, and how you are accessing (e.g. via USB stick or SD Card, or net). For Firefox, what add-ons are you running? Are you running skype?
It sort of sounds to me like your TW might be corrupt. If that has happened before as well, then I'm wondering in particular if you happen to be running off a memory card ... even if occasionally. If you have your TW configured for backups, then it should be possible to go through the list of TW's, working backwards, until you find one that works. Good luck!
