OK I was originally hoping for a simple solution to why SendTiddlerToFile wasn´t working for me. Normally Erics plugins are fantastic...you just copy the tiddler and wow!!! they work....right out of the box.......
...on looking closer it seems SendTiddlerToFile will overwrite sucessive posts (it seems to on TiddlyTools) with some fancy serverside coding...beyond me !!! ...I have gone back to Eric mail contact script (simple html form and send) and have been able to modify the mailtext.php (serverside) sufficient that it sends me an email with the correct information......so that part is solved. Except that I would love to have the email contact tiddler and the mailtext.php script more dynamic and presentable in terms of generating and receiving the data....but thats another question.... will start a new post.... Thanks for helping me to a simple and satisfactory solution Skye On 18 Dez, 13:56, Tobias Beer <[email protected]> wrote: > Maybe you could fill the blanks of how to achieve a certain end, if > you'd precisely describe the workflow in all its steps... what > information you want to gather and what you or someone else wants to > do with it afterwards... and then give us a hint about those steps > where tiddlywiki doesn't offer any "out of the box" solutions or > plugins ...in other words, where you need the most support to get > going (server-wise). > > Other than bidix's contributions, I think that - in general - > interoperability with php serversides doesn't get much attention, > unfortunately... where there'd be use-cases and howto's on having a > server backend interacting with tiddlywiki (for special purposes)... > without going all the way to the cutting edge of python/tiddlyweb. > > Though I guess, a generic Ajax interface to post to and retrieve > content from serverside-scripts should not require sorcery. > > Does anyone know of any examples of such interaction that exist > already, esp. php centric? -- You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "TiddlyWiki" group.
