@Michael I am working on a few import related things myself this morning 
and realized we were grossly over-complicating parsing the $:/Import tiddler

[[$:/Import]links[]]

Did the technique to flag another $:/tags/Macro tiddler to reset 
tv-auto-open-on-import workout for you?
