A very small (20kb) library is out there which is called keen-slider https://github.com/rcbyr/keen-slider with multi-touch support!
While there are some great slideshow plugins like Tiddlyshow from Mohammad ( https://kookma.github.io/Tiddlyshow/), I think if somebody can wrap this library as a small plugin would be great and of many use cases. Any tiddler can be used as a slide and TW+KeenSlider should work on tablets and touch screens. I m sure there are many TW and JS experts here in forum to do this!
