There are already a range of toc macros available, See https://tiddlywiki.com/#Table-of-Contents%20Macros You can drag and drop this tiddler ont your wiki to start, Then tag the top level tiddlers with TableOfContents, see the contents tab in the sidebar Then use the new here button tiddlers to add children to the table of contents.
