That is good news! I also can't say which update did it, but my *guess* is it was a side effect of switching from using a <div> to a <$button> for the "scrollFrame" in AutoScroll/Template. The $button enables the use of keyboard to pause and resume (enter or space) and to stop (escape). But it also means that a different type of container is now being used to surround the scrollContent, and that would mean different browser-internal code as well (for handling overflow on buttons vs divs).
