I am conflicted on this:
Philosophically, I feel we should be browser agnostic, and accept the
default browser appearances.
Aesthetically, I prefer the old look with the thinner borders.
Practically, it's easy enough to create a custom stylesheet (tagged with
$:/tags/Stylesheet) containing:
input { border-width:1px; }
