amreus The Quick and dirty way is to tag $:/core/ui/EditTemplate/tags with $:/tags/ViewTemplate <http://127.0.4.85:8081/resources#%24%3A%2Fcore%2Fui%2FEditTemplate%2Ftags> then the tag edit field will appear on all tiddlers in view mode. You could use a checkbox to toggle this
However a button in the view toolbar that toggles its display would be more elegant. I am working on methods to support this kind of activity. Which I will publish one day.
