Right. Agreed. Switching back after auto-converts (on Desktop) is the easiest way to register comments on how it sucks.
It is very poor. It is* LESS FUNCTIONAL than the previous version*. That must be a conscious choice, given that Google are not idiots, indicating the changes are motivated--likely for reasons not so obvious yet. And on Mobile its a real mess.
