David, Performance is still an art rather than a science. The key issue is people can ask tiddlywiki to do things they do not realise needs a lot of processing.
- Is this using the standard editor in draft mode? - Is the browser running out of memory (close all tabs and windows but one and see if it still occurs) - Is the local disk out of memory/swapping? use normal maintenance practices. - Change or hide the side bar as it may be being updated somehow with every key stroke - Have only the tiddler in question open in case changes need to be reflected in other tiddlers on screen. Additional steps can be taken if one of these things show the "cause".
