Will, I've done some testing using jQuery 1.4.1 and can confirm that all of the basic functions work correctly.
We plan to upgrade the version of jQuery used in release 2.6 of TiddlyWiki. We expect that jQuery 1.4.2 will be available before the release of TW 2.6, so expect to use that.
