As I understand it:


   - The reason for the ColorPalette is to make it easy to change the color
   scheme - i.e. without having to adjust the color properties of the various
   styles;
   - The structure of the ColorPalette is based on the TiddlerSlicing
   feature of TiddlyWiki - http://www.tiddlywiki.com/#TiddlerSlicing -
   combined with a general color scheme with Foreground & Background colors
   plus three variants - Pale, Medium & Dark - of each of three colors;
   - The particular colors in the default ColorPalette do represent an
   essentially arbitrary, specific color scheme; not only are you free to
   change the colors, you can also include additional colors in the
   ColorPalette
