Ooh, I hadn't heard of prosemirror before, that looks really promising.
It's beyond me to make use of it, but there is another open-source WYSIWYG
markdown editor called Mark Text. <https://github.com/marktext/marktext>
Maybe someone more literate in these things would be able to make use of
their codebase.
