The right settings should be already set in your "upload" sidebar button,
but generally the settings that work in Firefox should work in Chrome -- if
not there's some Chrome / UploadPlugin issue.

Maybe go back to Firefox to try getting manual settings right there, and
then do the same thing in Chrome?
