Back in 2016 there was a dicussion about implementing VexTab as a TW plugin (https://groups.google.com/u/1/g/tiddlywiki/c/nh5vMpPeEvg/m/t7aZpxltGwAJ and https://groups.google.com/u/1/g/tiddlywiki/c/R_B82izJoj8/m/DkrILS6EGQAJ)/ As far as I know, it was never implemented due to license incompatibility (VexTab uses MIT license) and the default export mechanism used in VexTab module, which is not supported in TW5.
Maybe we should have a look at AlphaTab (http://www.alphatab.net/, https://github.com/CoderLine/alphaTab) — it engraves both staff notation and guitar tabs from its own text-based format called alphaTex, MusicXML and .gp4-.gp7, and also produces audio playback.
