I don't think Mike wants tiddler-creation-timestamp. The way I understand
Mike's question is that he doesn't always remember to make the journal
entry on the day of (say, Jan 1) but might make it on January 5, or even
February 5 - after he has made the February 1 Journal entry.

The first step, of course, is to change the 'Title of New Journal Tiddlers'
in the Control Panel to be something like 'YYYY-0MM-0DD'. If you make the
journal entry on the day of, creating the new journal entry will populate
the title with the string something like '2021-03-06'. If I forgot to make
February's entry, I could create a journal entry and simply edit the
journal tiddler title to be '2021-02-01'. Create a few entries and do a
simple search from the right hand pane and they will be sorted.

Torax's code won't work as written with this simplistic scheme, but could
be easily modified. I am off to get my vaccine, so I'll get back to this
later, if this has helped at all.
