Add this to the start of each tiddler in which you want to use the "__" syntax: \rules except underscore Alternatively, to prevent the parsing of "__" syntax throughout the document, you can go to the $:/ControlPanel, Advanced, Parsing tab and clear the checkbox next to "underscore".
