Are you using the latest version from here: http://mptw.tiddlyspot.com/#RenameTagsPlugin
When you copied the plugin and tagged as systemConfig did you reload your TW? (Click Backstage > plugins and check the list) The plugin does work, and I am using the current version (example: http://www.strm.us/tw/newlayout ) open the Menu Tiddler > edit > and change the name to Menu2 should get a prompt that says Rename the tag 'Menu' to 'Menu2' in 21 tidders?
