Hi No. It's not a bug. As long as https://tiddlywiki.com/#%24%3A%2Fstate%2Ftab%2Fsidebar--595412856 exists it will be used to define the tab that is used in the sidebar. If you delete the tiddler, the Open sidebar will be selected.
