Nothing more than me just sticking with the familiar. Export a few tids, ZIP them up (because Google Groups won't allow attaching a .tid), and attach.
I have no opinion about exporting tid's to JSON. Bundling into ZIP's and naming the ZIP files with dates could help me keep track of versions of tid groupings, I suppose.
