TiddlyWiki's Tiddler Template could be modified to show something other 
than the title field in the "title area" of a tiddler.  Not sure how much 
fiddling it would take to get that working.

Using createdate is a really quick way to go,  It can only be a little bit 
lousy on a day in which a whole bunch of (wildly?) unrelated tiddlers got 
created, but then one could add all sorts of extra filtering in the URL to 
exclude certain kinds of tiddlers.
