Charlie, This was one motivation for me to go to my own hosting decades ago because my sites disappeared because of others bad behaviour a few times. Owning a domain also reduces this likelihood.
However recently a clients site was blacklisted because of a hack in the microsoft email/outlook solution in 365 and I learned the hard way how to get off black lists.
