In Eric's QuickStartdocument the standard searchfield is replaced by a (GoTo-field http://www.tiddlytools.com/#GotoPlugin) referenced to in the StyleSheetTiddler (left sidebar (sidebaroptions) > tab > more > shadowed tiddlers) as .siteNav under /* ADJUSTMENTS TO CUSTOM ELEMENTS */ If you make any changes to the parameters for the siteNav, you might get unexpected behaviour.. If you just want a "normal" searchfield in the sidebar, you can simply write <<search>> anywhere in the sidebaroptions tiddler... If you want to remove the siteNav button (GoTo searchfield) from the header, you can remove it completely by deleting it from the PageTemplate tiddler..
