An additional idea for Simons last question on style, or particularly color; Maybe it's possible to have the text on a *gradient* backgground, shifting horizontally with e.g color-neutral-color, i.e instead of the current "box" around a slider word, it is more elegantly "gradiented" kind of like discretely "colored square brackets" that expands when clicked, encompassing the full slider content. By using color-neutral- color, I imagine it would also look good for nested sliders. Kind of like a highlighter pen that quickly fades and then re-strenghtens again when approaching the end.
