A note here, assuming I understand you right; Because tags are interchangeable with tiddler names, it *is* possiblt to type a tag... by tagging it! We already have many (but not all[1]) of the tools to benefit from this, i.e regarding filtering etc. [1] At least one such missing filter is to be able to get "all tiddlers tagged with any of the tiddlernames [B1,B2...] that are of type C (i.e tagged C)".
