It's probably the "match" filter operator that causes the problems. TW implemented it's own "match" with V5.1.20 and the old plugin probably overwrites it. IMO you are lucky, that it didn't "brick" the whole system. ...
The "match" operator is used by the $:/core/templates/store.area.template.html which is responsible to save the tiddler store. ...
