Not an answer but a work around and some ideas. In windows I placed in the default folder (that opens on save as) a shortcut to the required folder. Once the open file dialogue apears I use the shortcut to jump to the alternat destination.
I used to do this to use "save as" as a way of backing up to the current host computer. However I then used the lessbackups plugin (to wikibackups folder) and have a separate batch/program to launch from tiddlywiki using http://www.remotely-helpful.com/TiddlyWiki/LaunchApplication.html. This batch synchronises the content of the wikibackups folder to the host. I now have my main tiddlywiki hosted on dropbox, use dropbox for wikibackups and have drop box (Automatically synchronised) on all the main computers I use. Regards Tony TonyM If you have not found an easy way to do it with TiddlyWiki, you have missed something. www.tiddlywiki.com On Tue, Apr 6, 2010 at 11:52, skye riquelme <[email protected]> wrote: > Hi All > > I actually asked something similar way back.....and didn´t get > anywhere back then ...and now have a similar situation....so here's > hoping... > > I am looking for a way to have SaveAsPlugin accept the directory name > of a specified location, rather than having to manually navegate to > the directory everytime I use the plugin. > > I have the macro siting in the ViewTemplate of a TW that has a limited > and specific function.....the tiddlers it will be saving, always go to > the same file in the same directory...so having to manually navegate > there everytime is a chore...actually the file is to be put only one > directory up.....so I tried names like "../FileName" but that doesn´t > work...any ideas... > > Thanks in advance > Skye > > -- > You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups > "TiddlyWiki" group. > To post to this group, send email to [email protected]. > To unsubscribe from this group, send email to > [email protected]<tiddlywiki%[email protected]> > . > For more options, visit this group at > http://groups.google.com/group/tiddlywiki?hl=en. > > -- You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "TiddlyWiki" group.
