I'll need to insert conditional formatting into some Tiddlers for IE users. But to do that, TW has to recognize the browser as it's loading.
Generally, this sort of browser-specific handling should be avoided. There are tons of resources on this on the web - look for graceful degradation / progressive enhancement. (It seems especially concerning that only certain tiddlers are to be targeted.)
