Claudio, Have you seen TiddlySpace ? (http://tiddlyspace.com)
Each space eg. http://jon.tiddlyspace.com/ gets two plugins: TiddlySpaceToolbar (http://jon.tiddlyspace.com/#TiddlySpaceToolbar) and ImageMacroPlugin (http://jon.tiddlyspace.com/#ImageMacroPlugin) which together allow you to use svg or image files for icons. For instance the editTiddler command is defined in http://jon.tiddlyspace.com/#editTiddler.svg I'm pretty sure this will work outside TiddlySpace, but I would urge you to try hosting your tiddlywiki on tiddlyspace to get this functionality easily if you can!
